It seemed funny how only a day earlier I was sweating in the South Carolina
heat and humidity, but all of a sudden I found myslef having to layer up for the cool mountain air of Smoky Mountain National
Park. The highlight for me today was our trip up to Clingman's Dome, the highest point in the park. My dad and
I first checked some seeps near the parking lot and found some interesting salamanders, most of them we could only ID as duskies.

Imitator Salamander
My dad and I got up very early the next morning to check out the "sinks" area.
We never found the Red or Spring Salamanders we hoped for, but we did find a Long-tailed Salamander and a couple big Duskies.
I also managed to let my first Eastern Wormsnake escape from me while trying to photograph it.
